Bachelorette & Beekman Boys: A Q&A Before the Show
Mar 15, 2016, 18:49 PM
The Cooking Channel’s Beekman Boys and Colorado’s favorite reality TV couple, Trista and Ryan Sutter are on-hand at this year’s Denver Home Show to provide tips, tricks, and a little entertainment.
We’ve bombarded them with personal questions to give you a sneak peek at what they’ll be presenting at the show. Here’s what they had to say:
Beekman Boys (@beekman1802boys)
Q: What should homeowners look for when it comes to working with a contractor or interior designer?
Brent + Josh: "In either of these professions, you are only as good as your last job. Make sure to listen to what prior clients are saying."
Q: What is your favorite space to makeover and why?
Brent + Josh: "Bathrooms! People are naked in this room more than any other – it should be the most comfortable."
Q: What’s the best way for homeowners to incorporate the latest trends into their decor? How can you tell what has staying power and what doesn’t?
Brent + Josh: "Spend time thinking about the structure and layout of your room and put the most of your money into quality furniture pieces. You can easily and cheaply purchase “trend-driven” decor pieces at places like Target and HomeGoods to keep the room looking fresh and current."
Q: Who’s your favorite Disney princess and why?
Brent + Josh: "Snow White – old school."
Trista & Ryan Sutter (@TristaSutter & @RyanSutter)
Q: What’s one thing you think people should splurge on?
Trista: "A bed! You spend about 1/3 of your life sleeping, so spend your hard earned money on something that will allow you to give back to your body for all it does for you! We did, and it was some of the best money we ever spent!"
Q: What are your best tips to help homeowners with curb appeal year-round?
Ryan: "Take care of the simple things that give the impression you care for your home. Mow the lawn, pull the weeds, shovel the snow-- those kind of easy, but noticeable, things."
Q: What’s your go-to hostess gift?
Trista: "Wine. It may be common, but it’s hard to go wrong."
Q: What has been your most embarrassing fashion choice?
Ryan: "My wife says black socks with Birkenstocks. I beg to differ."
Come and see them in person at the Denver Home Show for more tips, tricks, and darn good advice! Here’s the schedule: Trista and Ryan Saturday, March 19 at 3pm and 5pm and Sunday, March 20 at 2pm. The Beekman Boys Friday, March 18 at 5 pm and Saturday, March 19 at noon. Don't have tickets yet? Get 2-for-1 on Facebook and treat a friend or family member to the show.
